I've been given a promotion!

In a Toledo City Paper article entitled 2006 election campaigns hit T-Town dated Sept. 13, 2006, famed, masked, and ever-elusive political commentator, Johnny Hildo had this to say:

District 6 is held by formerly bellicose Republican Joe Birmingham, who has flown under the radar since allegations of domestic unrest this summer. Will David Ball extricate himself from his former mentor Balonek, return to the folds of the Democratic Party and gear up for another run? What about Lisa Sobecki, who fell a few signatures short of a school board run last year? Or, young dem Lindsay Webb?

Today in the masked pundit gave me a promotion. Too bad he/she spelled my name wrong.

So incumbents like Ashford, Craig and Wilma Brown have little to fear. Whoever challenges for District 2 (former candidates Karen Shanahan or Bob Vasquez? Polly, wife of Pete, Gerken?), District 5 (Will Ellen Grachek run? Former mayoral candidate Keith Wilkowski? Marty, brother of Tina, Skeldon?) or District 6 (Lucas County Educational Services Center Board member Karen Krause? Political operative Lindsey Webb? Washington Local school board president Lisa Canales-Flores?), ditto.
